SUMMER PROGRAM

The DAR Boys & Girls Club offers youth ages 7-18 a safe and affordable place to go where they can have fun, continue learning, and experience new opportunities. At The DAR Boys & Girls Club, children have the chance to participate in our summer clubs that encourage new experiences, ignite new passions, develop skills, and meet lifelong friends, while under the supervision of our professional and friendly staff! We look forward to enrolling your child at The DAR Boys & Girls Club this summer!

What Ages Do You Accept?

Members must be at least 7 years old to attend our program. The summer program is for ages 7-18.

What Time Are You Open?

The Club is open Monday-Friday 7am-4:30pm

What Dates Are You Open?

Summer Program runs June 5- August 18, 2023.

The Club will be closed July 3rd and 4th, 2023 in observance of Independence Day.

What Does Your Program Cost?

Youth 7-12: $20 Registration fee & $100/month. Months are from the 1st of the month to the last day of the month. Months do not roll over.

Teens 13 & up- $20 Registration fee only.

Registration fee of $20/child is due at time of signup.

Daily rate is $15/day and must be paid on same day.

How Do You Communicate with Parents?

We communicate with parents via the Class Dojo App. The App is free to download. See Class Dojo & Facebook for the most up to date information.

Do You Provide Lunch & Snacks?

The Club provides a free lunch daily. Members are also welcome to bring their own meal/snacks. Please have your child’s name on their lunchbox. The Club does not currently have vending machines.  

Do You Provide Summer School Transportation?

Summer school transportation is available for free from Marinette schools.

Do You Have Field Trips?

Yes. Field Trips have a small fee.

Club is CLOSED during Field Trips.

 

Do You Provide Swim Lessons?

Members are bused to River Cities Community Pool for swim lessons.

 

 

Is There a Required Attendance for the Club?

No.

Can My Child Choose What Rooms They Participate In?

Yes. 

What Does My Child Need to Bring?

We ask your child be sent with tennis shoes (so that they may participate in the gym activities) and a water bottle labeled with their name. Members are welcome to fill water bottles at our refill station.

Are Toys/Electronics Allowed at the Club?

Chrome books/laptops are allowed for virtual learning/homework purposes only. We ask that all personal items are left at home. This includes iPads, trading cards, toys, etc. The club is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Do I Have to Sign My Child In/Out?

Due to Covid, we have eliminated DAR Cards at this time. We ask that you pick up your child at the Front Desk area or call when you have arrived to pick up your child. 

How Do I Register My Child(ren)?

Registration forms will be available at orientation or can be picked up from the Club or downloaded from the button above. Parents will need to meet with a staff member before their child may attend to go over the membership handbook and forms.

When is Parent Orientation?

Call the Club to set up a time to meet with staff.

Are there Dress-Up Days?

Yes. Wednesdays are dress-up days. Hats are allowed these days. See Front Desk for list of theme weeks this summer.
